Number 2 in the nation

I would like to congradulate Bruce Pearl and the mens basketball team on the no. 2 ranking that they received today. This is the highest that they have ever been rated in school history. Now let me say that on all the local call in radio shows all you hear is #1 vs #2 on Saturday when we play Memphis. That is all well and good but we play Auburn on Wednesday, and they have a good team coming in here. They are an SEC team and we must pay attention to them, there are no givens in the SEC. Any team can beat any other team on any day. As Mr. Miyagi told Daniel Larusso on the Karate Kid, "FOCUS!!". We have to focus on one game at a time, I am excited to have the oportunity to play in a 1vs2 hoops game. But, if we don't beat Auburn it is not going to mean as much. Now lets go kick some tiger ass on Wed. and then get some more tiger ass on Sat.

Are you Kidding Me!?!?!!!???

Ok what the hell is going on? Now the punter is driving drunk like he is in a demolition derby, and if that's not bad enough he leaves the scene. I think it is time to cut out this stuff, send them all to AA meetings. If something doesn't stop we won't need a program at the home opener, we will need to look at one of KPD's mug shot books. Hats off to Coach Fulmer for having the marbles to pull his scholarship along with the 5 game suspension. Now his Dad needs to take him home and kick the living shit out of him. This is his 5th alchohol related incedent since joining the Vols. It is about time we did somthing about this spoiled little punk. There I said it, he is a spoiled little brat who has gotten away with way to much because of his bloodline. Punter!!! He is a freaking punter!!!!! Oh well let me go before I get too carried away and really tell you how I feel about punting drunks. Oh to hell with it: what could it possibly be that is driving this young man to drink? Maybe the stess of watching all the real football players practice, Having trouble spinning a football on his damn finger while all the real football player practice, Maybe it is the stress of taking money for a scholarship that could be spent on a damn defensive lineman that we desperatly need. Well now we have an extra one for a DE or a good DT spend it well Phil. Spend it well.

KPD don't play. Neither should Phil

Tell me when will these guys learn that the KPD don't play. If you are told to leave some place you say yes sir then go. Stop running around drinking and smoking pot, you are here to get a free education and play football. The least you could do is to straighten you dead ass up for just a couple of years. Guys athletes are role models, like it or not. So this is just something that has been getting under my skin for a month or so. I know what it is like to be a 19yr old college student, and didn't always make the best choices myself. I had a beer or two in my day but I wasn't out running the roads in a car giving my school a black eye by getting a DUI. Enough is enough and I think it is time to get a little more serious with the punishments. I like the 6 am running this is a start, now every time someone gets there name in the paper or on the news for anything other than scoring a touchdown or sacking the quarter back we do it again. Look at it this way; we won't run out of steam in the 4th quarter ever again.

Mayo Will Go Pro

Ok folks, here is my take on this situation. It sucks!!! I think Mayo will be a good pick for someone, and I don't blame him for going. But as a fan, he will be missed. He was a headhunter in the middle this year. He was that guy you would look for to make a big play. He led the SEC in tackles and was a force all year. He is projected to go in the late second round and will be a steal. Now let me talk about Foster thinking about the jump, big mistake. I don't know if he were to get drafted if he could even make a team. He hasn't got the speed to make the corner against Arkasas State, he for sure hasn't got the speed to make the corner against NFL teams. Here is a guy who was better as a freshman and is thinking about foregoing his senior year. What the hell is he thinking. Honestly, his play at time made me want to puke. GO PRO??? You have got to be freaking kidding me!!!

Maryville Coach Interested in Vols!!

George Quarles head coach of the Maryville High School Rebles has shown some interest in being on the Tennessee staff. Acording to Dave Hooker from GoVolsExtra.com, he said he would be interested in joining the staff, but not as a graduate assistant. I'll tell you folks right now, this man knows football. He has won 7 of the last 8 4a state championships in Tennessee. The Vols should really think on this, I'm not saying make him the offense coordinator. BUT, he would make a very nice addition to the staff. Hey Phil! THINK ABOUT IT!!
